June 26, 2007 – The OritaniSavingsBank Charitable Foundation is pleased to announce that it has awarded a $50,000 matching grant to the Township of Washington Voluntary Ambulance Corp in conjunction with their 2007 Fund Drive,
“This grant will match every dollar donated in 2007 toward the ambulance corp fund drive to raise money for a new ambulance up to a maximum of $50,000”, stated Kevin Lynch, president of the OritaniSavingsBank Charitable Foundation. “We at the Foundation recognize the vital services that the ambulance corp has been providing to this community of over 50 years and we challenge other businesses and individuals to join with us in raising the funds for a new ambulance.”
Oritani Savings Bank has been a part of the Township of Washington community for 43 years. In 2005, the corporate headquarters were relocated to the Township at 370 Pascack Rd, Earlier this year, the OritaniSavingsBank Charitable Foundation was established to assist not-for-profit organizations that help to improve the quality of life for residents of Bergen, Hudson and Passaic counties.
