Township of Washington, NJ, August 25, 2008 – The OritaniSavingsBank Charitable Foundation recently donated $25,000 to The Arc of Hudson County which assists families with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Now in it’s ninth year of operation, The Arc of Hudson County has assisted more than 850 families with information and referral services, recreation, a monthly support group, family support vouchers, an after school program for children with significant disabilities and an employment day program for adults with developmental disabilities.
On July 31st, Kevin Lynch, President of Oritani Bank presented an oversized check to the Hudson City Chapter of Arc and commented, “We are proud to offer our financial support to local organizations such as the Arc because they provide a wide range of services which allow disabled members of our community to achieve their fullest potential. The services they provide span the lifetime of the person with a disability, and support both the individual and their family. Without contributions from the local community, this may not be the case.”
