Township of Washington, NJ – June 29, 2009 – The OritaniBank Charitable Foundation has announced that this year’s Annual “Christmas in July” Food Drive will benefit the Teaneck Family Assistance Center at the Teaneck Armory, which is Battalion Headquarters for the 250th Brigade Support Battalion of the NJ Army National Guard. In May and June, over 2,000 troops have returned to Northern New Jersey from tours in Iraq.
The Family Assistance Center provides invaluable assistance to the families of the active National Guard inNorthern New Jersey and helps families while their loved ones are overseas and through the transition stage when the troops return home.
During the month of July, all branches of Oritani Bank will be accepting non-perishable food items and cash donations to stock the Center’s food pantry located at the Teaneck Armory. All cash donations will be matched by OritaniBank Charitable Foundation.
