Oritani Bank Holds Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and
Presents $10,000 Donation to The Central Avenue Special Improvement District at Grand Opening of Jersey City Branch
Township of Washington, NJ, December 1, 2008 – Oritani Bank recently celebrated the Grand Opening of their newest branch office located at 348 Central Avenue in the Heights section of Jersey City. With the addition of this new office, Oritani Bank now has five branches in Hudson County – three in Union City, one in North Bergen and one in Jersey City. Mayor Jerramiah R. Healy and Councilman Bill Gaughan attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening festivities to welcome Oritani Bank to the local community.
Kevin J. Lynch, President of The OritaniBank Charitable Foundation and Chairman, CEO and President of Oritani Bank also presented a $10,000 donation to the Central Avenue Special Improvement District Management Corporation (CASID), which helps guide and promote positive social growth and economic revitalization in Jersey City. They provide supplemental management, maintenance, and improvements to the Central Avenue business district. Numerous executives from the CASID attended the event to celebrate the occasion and accept the donation.
In addition, Oritani hosted a three-hour Family Fun Day at the new branch to introduce local area residents to the bank. The event was well attended and new customers were offered customers special banking products as well as food, fun and entertainment. With the addition of Emerson and Jersey City, Oritani Bank now has 21 branch offices serving both consumers and small to mid-size businesses in Bergen, Hudson and Passaic Counties.
